The Fresno Center is a part of Listos California project as one part of the statewide California For All Emergency Preparedness Campaign announced by Governor Newsom—a joint campaign between California Volunteers and the Governor’s Office of Emergency Services. “Listos” translated from Spanish to English means “ready”. The goal is to help Californians be prepared for emergencies such as wildfires, floods and earthquakes and to “bolster local resiliency and connect one million diverse and vulnerable Californians to culturally and linguistically competent support.”
